This page is a linux version of the operating systems sucks rules meter. The curious among you are free to download the GPLed source for the linux meter. The methodology was as follows:

• screen scrape distrowatch
• select "major" distributions using completely arbitrary methods
• query altavista with "sucks" and "rules" or "rocks" and the distribution name
• graph the results
